If my limited French is correct, the restaurant at the Maurice Hotel (the most expensive hotel in Paris according to the internet) wants 130 Euros (USA$160) for CHICKEN. I wonder what a cup of coffee costs?

A friend of my from my younger days in Connecticut lives very close to here.
He has lived in Paris for many years.

There are several of these pianos around Paris.
I looked this up on the internet. Here is what it says.

The idea for Play Me, I'm Yours came from visiting my local launderette. I saw the same people there each weekend and yet no one talked to one another. I suddenly realized that within a city, there must be hundreds of these invisible communities, regularly spending time with one another in silence. Placing a piano into the space was my solution to this problem, acting as a catalyst for conversation and changing the dynamics of a space.

Barbara and Cynthia in the red circle
We took the train from Paris to London for the day to visit our close friend Barbara who has lived in the UK for many years.
If you take the train BE PREPARED. It is not like any other train where you just jump on board. It is more like an airport. They inspect the baggage, make you go through passport control, etc.  You must get to the train station at least one hour prior to departure. The train is very long and holds zillions of people, so the process takes a lot of time.

Harrods in the background. We had lunch there.

Notre Dame

Pick up the bike at one of many stations around town and then return it to another station.

Now they have electric rent-a-cars. The red arrow points to the electric wire that charges the car battery. As it is with the bikes, the car is rented for a short period of time and then dropped off at one of many locations.

Many apartments have no elevator or the elevator is extremely small. So how do they get furniture up to the apartment? The furniture company brings along their portable outdoor elevator. The man cranks it upright. Leans it against the building and then the motor lifts the platform up to the open apartment window.  All apartments have vary large windows.
