Italy 2006

Lying northwest of the Gulf of La Spezia, the ''Cinque Terre'' is an isolated region best reached by train or boat. This rugged coast is wild but hospitable, with vineyards and fishing villages where the people remain strongly attached to their old customs and traditions. In 1997 Cinque Terre was included in UNESCO's World Heritage List''.

Not the kind of place where you would want you boat engine to suddenly stop working. The wave against the rocks are quite intense.
