Saturday we went to Genoa. It is not exactly a big tourist attraction, but as it is one of the largest cities in Italy, and it is so close to us, we thought it necessary to see the place. I am sorry that there is really not much of interest to show you.

As we have seen before, there is a local talent of painting flat stucco buildings to look as though they are made of stone. The building resembles a movie stage set. The stone entrance is real as are the steel bars over the first floor windows. Other than that, all the stone work and statues are painted on the flat building.

Even the statues in Italy take a few minutes to smoke cigarettes.
